How do I choose my lining?
| Our standard lining is an ivory 100% pure cotton sateen. It makes curtains look and feel good, and drape beautifully. This lining should be chosen with most fabrics unless you want to dim a room using blackout lining or the luxurious feel that interlining gives.
Blackout lining is a denser, slightly stiffer lining which will not let light through, although your curtains could let light in slightly from the sides or tops, dependant on what you have fitted them to. This lining is also good for heat and sound insulation and is fully dry cleanable.
Interlining is heavier and "fluffier" than standard lining. It is most commonly used with silks, as it gives them the luxurious feel and bulk they need, as well as protecting the fabric from UV deterioration. This lining is also good for heat and sound insulation. When we make your curtains using interlining, we also use our standard lining. The interlining sits between the face fabric and the standard lining. We do not recemmend the dry cleaning of made to measure, interlined curtains.
We are happy to provide samples of any of our linings free of charge. |

Will my fabrics fade in sunlight?
| All fabrics, over a period of time, will lighten in the sun. This is accelerated in windows where the curtains or blinds are subjected to particularly bright sunlight. Silk is also particularly prone to fading, so we don't recommend that you use this in South facing windows. Our quality linings will help to protect your curtains, but you may see some fading eventually on the inside edges of the curtains, and on the bottom edges of the folds on your blinds. We recommend interlining for all silks. |

What control system does my Roman blind have?
| As a standard, we make our Romans with strings, to be secured with an "acorn" and attached with a cleat to the wall.
We can make your blind with a chain operation which is similar to the one you'd find on a roller blind. Please e-mail us for details on this as there would be a small extra cost. |

How accurate are the swatch colours on your site?
| We do our best to represent the colour and texture of our curtains as accurately as possible, however computer monitors vary significantly. In the case of any of our made to measure products, we cannot accept any responsibility for products if they aren't your expected colour. We would advise to always order a sample of the fabric before placing your order. We can only accept returns in cases where we have supplied you incorrectly. |
