You will always receive personal service from our friendly and knowledgeable interiors designers, who can guide you through choosing wallpaper and fabrics, to the management of large scale renovation projects. We can offer as much or as little design input as you feel you need and our initial, no obligation consultation is always free of charge.

Within our offices, to the rear of our retail showroom in Didsbury, Manchester our interiors designers are busy with the specifying and management of projects for our private and commercial clients. These projects vary enormously and see us undertaking things like the transformation of bathrooms or kitchens, managing the building of extensions, renovating office space or furnishing show apartments for developers.

How our design process works...
Initially, we will have an informal chat with you to discuss the likely scope of your project and which of our services you may be interested in. This could be carried out in our showroom, or via the telephone.

Space Assessment
The next stage is to view your chosen space, discuss your requirements and budget, and also assess how much involvement you need from us. An interior designer will visit you at your home and spend at least an hour discussing your requirements, getting to know you and understand the kind of look and feel you want to achieve. This meeting also gives you the opportunity to view our portfolio in more detail, and to ask us any questions you may have about our services and how we work.

Following the space assessment, we will send you a quotation for the design work we propose to undertake. If we are to fully undertake build work and its project management, we will include an estimate of costs for this.
If you are happy to proceed from this stage, we will return and complete a full survey of the space to be redesigned, this will include taking photographs.
(We are happy to travel within a 50 mile radius of Didsbury, without charge. We are also happy to travel further afield, however, we would then charge a small pre-arranged fee to cover our travelling expenses.)

Design Meeting
At the next meeting we will present you with your design boards. These boards will include CAD visuals, such as floor plans, elevations, layouts, and at least one 3D perspective sketch. The design boards will also show samples of fabrics, flooring and wall coverings along with details of all proposed build work, furniture, fixtures, fittings and accessories.
We are happy to make any small changes at this stage, however any major changes, e.g. changing the use of a room, would incur the costs of re-designing the space and producing new boards. Also, if we are required to draw up detailed plans for tradesmen who are not under our jurisdiction, then we will charge for this service. Any costs would be agreed with you before we proceed.
Any additional meetings over and above what we set out in our quotation, are chargeable.

Specification
Once you have approved the designs, we move onto the planning stage of your project when specifications are prepared and estimates obtained.
Emblazon utilise the services of plasterers, decorators, plumbers, carpenters, electricians, floor & carpet fitters, upholsterers and soft furnishings manufacturers, all of whom are fully qualified and experts in their chosen field. Our estimates are based upon an assessment of competitive rates from these sub-contractors who are carefully selected so as to ensure their delivery of workmanship to our exacting standards.
We have long term working relationships with many of our suppliers which means we can maintain the level and standard of workmanship that is in keeping with our reputation. Most of our suppliers have worked with us for a number of years and we are confident of their standard of work. In addition, they have proven themselves to be reliable against agreed timescales and estimates.
If you are utilizing Emblazon’s full project management service, then we will underwrite the work carried out for a period of six months from project completion.
Every client is different, some will want to utilise our full project management service, and some will have certain tradesmen they are happy to use. We do not force our clients to use our tradesmen, however it must be made clear from the start of a project who is going to be responsible for certain areas of the project. Your tradesmen must meet our standards, be familiar with working to plans, and used to meeting deadlines.
N.B We cannot underwrite a project if you utilise your own tradesmen.

Sourcing
Emblazon will source and supply all materials to complete the specified works. This includes all fabrics, furniture, furnishings and accessories that are specified for the project. We arrange for all items to be delivered in line with project schedules.

Implementation
We will manage the day-to-day activities of the project and will oversee all aspects of the project, as set out in the specification. We will be on site at key stages of the project and make ad hoc visits to ensure work is progressing as planned.
Once all the work has been completed we arrange a handover meeting with you and supply you with all the documentation pertaining to your purchases. This includes care and maintenance instructions and warranty and guarantee details.

We do however, understand that not everyone wants or needs the same solution. As well as our interior design service, we also offer space planning and a colour consultation service.
We pride ourselves on our flexibility, so if you have a need you don’t see here, please don’t hesitate to call us to discuss your requirements in more detail.

Space Planning
This would be suitable if you do not require samples, or for us to show you finishes but have a need to plan out your space. This could include incorporating your existing furniture and fittings.
Ideally we would arrange an appointment to meet with you in our showroom, to take a full brief. However, this could be done over the telephone initially. We would then arrange to meet you at your home or business, taking measurements of all aspects of your space and any existing furniture.
We will then present you with CAD scaled plans and elevations, detailing where appropriate, any build work or new furniture we think could enhance your space.
This service is ideal if you are happy to implement a scheme yourself, but just need help in the planning of your space to show it to its best advantage.

Colour Consultation
This would be suitable if you have most of the elements of your space planned out, with the building work done and most of your furniture in situ, but it’s those all important finishing touches that you still require to really complete the space. Items such as carpet, wallpaper, soft furnishings, paint colours and accessories would be included in this service.
Initially we would arrange an appointment to meet with you in our showroom, or at your home or business. We can then talk through ideas and show you our portfolio, and the design boards we have produced for other customers who have used this service.

We would then take a full brief from you, this includes discussing ideas and giving design advice, gaining a thorough understanding of your preferences regarding colour, finishes, and budget. We would also take measurements of all necessary aspects at this stage.

We would then present to you a design board. This will include samples of paint finishes, wallpaper, fabrics, and flooring. Then we place all of the necessary orders for your goods. We will fit your curtains/ blinds/soft furnishings, flooring, etc. any other goods would be on a supply only basis.

This service is ideal for getting those finishing touches right, or possibly for revamping your existing scheme.
